The Real View of Pico Rivera exists because too much of what happens in our city — council decisions, budget changes, development plans, service cuts — never reaches the people it affects most. We translate that into plain language and put it where residents already are.
Informed means honest, verifiable reporting on local government, public meetings and neighborhood issues — no spin.
Connected means residents know their neighbors, their events and their local organizations, and can find each other when something matters.
Supported means nobody has to navigate food, housing or utility assistance alone. We walk families through it and follow up until something changes.

Meet the founder
Started by a resident, for residents
Victor Gonzalez is a lifelong Pico Rivera resident who started The Real View after watching neighbors miss out on help they qualified for simply because no one told them it existed.
What began as posts about city meetings grew into a full community platform: newsletters, resource referrals, event coverage and fundraising drives for families in emergencies.
“If people know what's happening and know where to get help, this city takes care of itself. My job is just to make sure the information gets through.”
